Coaching for leaders in health and care
Blue Lozenge Nexus helps senior leaders in health and care develop themselves and their teams, so that they can maximise their impact in a complex landscape.
The sister arm to Blue Lozenge, we created Blue Lozenge Nexus to respond to the growing need for health and care leaders to have the time, space, optimism and energy to consider how they can thrive and create the right conditions and environment for their teams to do the same.
We know protected time is a precious commodity in an increasingly demanding sector. Investing in thinking time, and working with a skilled coach can pay dividends. The impact of coaching is widely reported to lead to higher engagement and contribution and improved effectiveness, and can support you in achieving your career goals.
Coaching also provides an outlet for leaders to explore how they can be even more effective in motivating and inspiring their team.

Leadership coaching 1-2-1
Leadership coaching works best when it’s tailored to your goals. We create bespoke coaching frameworks for you based on your initial conversations with the coach.
This acts as a guide to make sure the coaching supports you to achieve what you set out too, while also having the flexibility to respond to emerging issues. A range of tools from the world of coaching and psychology are used to support the coaching process and we provide you with additional reading and resources to support areas of focus. Conversations are completely confidential.
Team coaching
We work with teams to support them to be the best they can be; boosting performance, increasing morale and developing shared goals and working practices.
Our approach is bespoke to the team we are working with, but in our experience it’s effective to work with teams over three sessions over a number of months to establish goals, embed changes and review progress. Having independent facilitation provides objectivity to provide constructive challenge, identify strengths and if needed emerge and resolve hidden conflict, and enables the leader to be actively involved in the process. We bring energy and creative ideas to the sessions to create an inspiring environment that enables team members to step outside of the day job.
Group coaching
Group coaching differs from team coaching, as the common denominator is a shared interest in the aim of the coaching. In health and care, group coaching is an excellent way to bring colleagues together from across the organisations that make up an integrated care system.
The group can be made up people from different department, teams or organisations. One of the great benefits of group coaching is creating a new community, enabling people to form new relationships and opportunities to learn from each other.

“I had never had professional coaching before so I was a little sceptical before we started. However, I have benefited more from Katie’s coaching than any other professional development in the last few years. ”
