Rachel Royall is the Founder and Chief Executive of Blue Lozenge, a specialist healthcare communication and engagement agency serving clients across the health and care system. She brings extensive experience leading board-level communications for complex organisations, including IBM, NHS Digital, NHS Trusts, HMRC, the Cabinet Office, the Department of Health and Social Care, and local government.

A recognised leader in the communication profession

Rachel is a Chartered Practitioner and a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Institute of Internal Communication. She has been acknowledged by both CIPR and PRCA for her outstanding contribution to the PR industry and was recently named fifth in the Top 100 Political Consultants 2025/26 by MACE – The Business of Politics, recognising her influence in UK healthcare and public affairs.

Rachel’s strategic approach is shaped by deep professional expertise and lived experience. As a living kidney donor to her husband and a breast cancer survivor, she brings personal insight to her work, strengthening her commitment to communication that improves understanding, builds trust and makes a meaningful difference to patients, communities and the organisations that serve them.
